In modern medicine, evaluation of experiments based on evidence (evidence-based medicine) is strictly required. If statistical methods are correctly applied and their results correctly interpreted, then the utilization of modern methods of mathematical statistics significantly reduces the danger of an incorrect interpretation of the experiment.
